Do Americans Truly Want

to Follow Finland’s Path?

from the book

Turn back Finland! Nations, Look and Hark! I

When reflecting on Finland's current catastrophic state, the events and reporting of the 2020 U.S. presidential election brought only one question to mind: Could it really be that in the United States, a nation where the value of the Holy Word is still more widely known and recognized than in Finland, the people have chosen to follow the same path as Finland? Is it truly the will of the people to embark on the path of liberalism, which the Holy Word warns will ultimately lead the nation to sink?

So, what is the true nightmare of democracy?

The true nightmare of democracy in a Christian nation is not isolated riots spiraling out of control, but a situation like Finland’s, where society has been driven into a serious anti-Christian state. In this nightmare of democracy, a return to a society that enjoys God’s trust, values truth, and upholds justice and righteousness is only possible through the shaking sent by the Almighty. This anti-Christian state has already become a reality in Finland. As a result of decades of apostasy, the people, in their increasing spiritual blindness, have raised to power a government that, in the eyes of God, represents a severe state of apostasy. The ruling anti-Christian government no longer considers the Holy Word of God, who blessed the nation’s independence, in its political decision-making. The boundaries and guidelines set in the Holy Word, which safeguard the well-being of citizens, the nation’s independence, and peace, are no longer sufficiently understood, nor are they acknowledged or desired amidst the temptations presented by the global mainstream.

In practice, the current state of the Finnish nation is becoming a sad and cautionary example of the true nightmare of democracy for other nations. The warnings of the Almighty, who blessed Finland’s independence, are barely heeded, if a single line is even bothered to be read or listened to.

The Finnish nation is like a wild, carefree child playing on thin ice, completely unaware of the danger it faces. The nation once cried out to the Almighty God Y(A)HW(E)H for its independence and to preserve it. Instead of showing gratitude and reverence to God, the nation has embarked on a path of apostasy, where the wisdom of the Holy Word is no longer cherished or passed down from generation to generation in the manner required by the Almighty. The Holy Word aptly describes this nightmare state of democracy as follows:

"Ephraim also is like a silly dove,

without sense

They call to Egypt, They go to Assyria.

 Wherever they go, I will spread My net on them;

 I will bring them down like birds of the air;

 I will chastise them According to

 what their congregation has heard.

"Woe to them, for they have fled from Me!

 Destruction to them,

Because they have transgressed against Me!

Though I redeemed them,

Yet they have spoken lies against Me.

They did not cry out to Me with their heart

When they wailed upon their beds.

"They assemble together for grain and new wine,

 They rebel against Me;”

Hosea 7:11-14 (NKJV)

The Finnish nation now shockingly fulfills all the signs written as a warning for future nations about the fateful apostasy of ancient Ephraim. Fewer and fewer Finns understand that the holiness of God means that, in all His longsuffering, He is still bound to the same cause-and-effect principles He established in the Holy Word, for both individuals and nations, even today. It is precisely because of this unchanging nature of the Almighty that I have been given this message to write for Finland and other nations. This message is to Finland what was proclaimed to the congregations of Ephraim and the political and secular leadership of the nation through the ancient prophets—a call to take advantage of the last opportunity for repentance.

Woe to Finland and the Finnish nation!

Now is the time to attend church for more than just the cozy Advent and Christmas services to sing pleasant songs. For independence and peace to be preserved in the land, the people, as in the past war years, should humble themselves in prayer on their knees before the Lord, seeking grace and forgiveness.

On Finland's 104th Independence Day in 2021, the Lord posed a serious question: How many Finns are still willing to go to church to ask the Lord for forgiveness and, as individuals, to repent in order to preserve the nation's independence and peace? Those who understand in their hearts to do so likely also understand why, for the first time in the fall of 2020, I was urged to warn Americans not to choose the path Finland has taken.

In their 2020 presidential election, Americans reached an important milestone, yet they were still far from the kind of nightmare threatening the very existence of Christian democracy that Finland is facing. Although, after a highly contested election process, a less favorable option for the nation—when tested against the light of the Bible—came to power in the United States, the situation, despite how it may appear in the media, is not yet the nightmare of democracy that Finland is experiencing.

At the urging of our Almighty God, I will attempt to explain the situation from another perspective for those who may be upset by the previous comparison. Anyone who truly desires to understand the gravity of the situation can only gain comprehensive insight by folding their hands in prayer at this point and asking the Lord for the eye salve He has promised to all who seek understanding. Those who do so will be astonished.

Why, then, is Finland a nightmare of democracy in the eyes of the God who granted us independence, while the United States, in its 2020 presidential election, only took its first step away from the path of blessings toward the road of curses and judgments that Finland had already followed years earlier?

The 2020 U.S. elections demonstrated that nearly half (and possibly, in reality, a majority) of the American people stood behind the side that passed the test of the Holy Word, defending the preservation of Christian values that bless the nation as part of its political decision-making. Although the side representing liberalism, which opposes the Holy Word, came to power in the U.S. in 2021 with Mr. Biden, the nation was not yet at immediate risk of taking a decisive step toward apostasy. However, that step was a dangerous one, similar to the one Finland had taken years earlier. In His love for the United States, the Almighty urged me as early as the fall of 2020 to write and convey, through social media, a loving message from the Lord directed to Americans, warning them not to follow Finland's path.

“ Give ear, O my people, to my law; Incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old,

Which we have heard and known, And our fathers have told us.

We will not hide them from their children,

Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord,

And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.

For He established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel,

Which He commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children;

That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born,

That they may arise and declare them to their children,

That they may set their hope in God,

And not forget the works of God,

But keep His commandments”

(NKJV PS78:1-7)
