Discovering the Secrets of the Scriptures by Skateboarding & Scootering (=4S Course)

What do skateboarding and life have in common? The protection gear is needed!

During the 4S Courses, we playfully compare the protective gear needed in fast-paced sports with the protective gear for life described in the Bible. For example, what is the difference between the helmet of salvation and the helmet needed for skateboarding?

WHAT DOES THE COURSE INCLUDE?

  • LOTS OF JOY FROM GETTING THEIR OWN SKATEBOARD & PROTECTIVE GEAR

    If the skateboarding / scootering still feels an interesting hobby after the first skateboarding lesson, there will be a meeting at a skateboarding shop during the second course week.

    The student gets possibility to choose own helmet, suitable protective gear and and a skateboard/scooter. All those will remain with the student after the course.

    The buying of the equipments is made possible for the students by the 4S Gifts bought by different companies & private persons. Thank you for all who has shared the joy among children & youth! May the Lord bless you!

  • SKATEBOARDING TEACHING

    As with many sports the best way is to start with the real teacher of the sport. When the basic things have been learned well and learned to do on right way, it’s much more easier to continue learning with more challenging tricks.

  • BIBLE TEACHING

    The foundation of the faith, familiar from Sunday schools, is reviewed. Heavenly wisdom is increased with the knowledge of the blessing and protective verses at Ephesians chapter 6 (10-18).

    During the course, the students will get the basic knowledge of the entirety, what it means in practice to have the armor of God put on.

    In the course protective gear of speedy sports and protective gear mentioned at Ephesians are compared playfully.

The first courses were organized for Finnish children living in Spain in collaboration with a Finnish association supporting child and youth work and a local church.
