When Does Democracy Turn Into a Nightmare?

In the wake of the Washington riots in early 2021, we also saw news coverage in Finland describing what has been called the 'nightmare of democracy.' However, for a nation built on the foundation of the Holy Word, individual democratic and peaceful expressions of opinion spiraling out of control is not yet a true democratic nightmare. When a demonstration of disarmament gets out of hand in the world's best-armed and most defense-capable country, one cannot help but reflect on what has happened, and consider the headlines in light of the broader phenomena influencing our increasingly anti-Christian times.

In the message given to be proclaimed to Christian nations, Turn Back, Finland!, the section titled 'When Justice is Turned into Poison' presents a description based on verifiable real events. It outlines the grave situation in Finland regarding the realization of justice in accordance with the principles of the rule of law, which is the foundation of democracy (this section will be included in Turn Back Finland! II, which will be released later). In my beloved home country, which has been awarded in many ways and shines like gold on the outside, it can be said that the mainstream media has participated in covering up the criminal activities of individuals in politically significant roles behind the scenes. Articles praising these influential figures and the image they create of their actions and honesty have been far from the truth, as simultaneous, verifiable events continue to reveal considerable dishonesty and manipulation (Lavan 2024, Finns Have the Right to Know: From Mannerheim’s Daily Orders to the Cries of Finns in Distress). Considering the previous situation in Finland, which I have personally witnessed through my own life experience, I find it necessary to reflect on the events surrounding the Washington riots. During the riots, there were reports in the U.S. media about 'changing sides' and censorship. In light of this, it became difficult to give any real weight to writings about the riots or election fraud. Testing the truthfulness of mainstream media reports on events happening across the ocean is practically an impossible task.

Since it is now very common to draw conclusions from what is unsaid or between the lines, let me clarify the following. As the author of this message, I condemn the transformation of democratic sentiments from peaceful activities to violent ones, just as former President of the United States, Donald Trump, did.

I believe every adult knows the fact that the word 'wild' is commonly used to describe a joyful, exuberant atmosphere. It was quite surprising to see how several parties in the United States, and internationally, twisted Trump’s innocent and normal use of the word to imply incitement to violence, attempting to influence public opinion and the political situation in the country through the power of the media.

Even more worrisome about the situation in the United States in 2021 was that influencing people's perceptions by exploiting their trust in the media seemed to sink into the American people just as dangerously as had already been witnessed earlier in Finland. It is unlikely that the Finns as a nation would have voted the way they did in the most recent presidential and parliamentary elections if the Finnish mainstream media, as a significant wielding force of national influence, had not deliberately chosen to withhold from the public the serious, deliberate wrongdoings committed by the financiers of both the previous and current president’s party, particularly those acts that targeted society’s most vulnerable. At the same time, when the mainstream media chose to vilify other citizens for far smaller actions, claiming it was in the public interest to expose them, it becomes clear that the media's conduct in Finland flagrantly violates the principle of equal treatment, as guaranteed by the constitution.

The previous statement should not be dismissed as baseless rhetoric, even though the detailed reasoning behind the earlier assertion about Finland's serious situation is not yet fully explored in this context. The Almighty does not leave matters to guesswork. The message, intended as a call to all nations through Finland’s grave condition, is a comprehensive work of over 500 pages. For reasons of timing and practicality determined by the Almighty, the message will be made available to the nations in two parts, although it was initially presented in full—about 500 pages—in 2021 to Finland’s highest earthly and spiritual leaders at the Almighty’s urging.

In the text to be published in 2024 for the citizens of Finland and all nations, a reflection has been added, as directed by the Lord, to assess whether Finland’s earthly and spiritual leadership has received the Lord’s message as the Almighty intended. As a result, this published version will be slightly more comprehensive than the 2021 edition.

Once the entirety of the message, along with its referenced evidence, has been fully examined, no one will be able to regard the previous statements, or any other statements within the message, as anything but verifiable truth regarding the grave condition of the Finnish nation in the eyes of the Almighty. At the same time, everyone will witness how events in Finland will unfold, not according to the value-based realism of Finland’s new president, but according to the unshakable spiritual realities defined by the Almighty in His holy Word. Finland’s fate is meant to serve as a warning example to all nations. With the same spiritual measure, the Almighty will determine the fate of every nation by the end of this current era.

In this first part of the message, societal phenomena that inevitably follow a nation slipping into a severe state of apostasy are examined. Once again, it can be concluded that there is nothing new under the sun. Just as in ancient Israel, in the land of Finland, founded by calling upon the name of the Almighty, the Lord Himself oversees the execution of justice and the preservation of righteousness in the nation, as described in His holy Word. This explains why the Lord has built His message around these themes.

After a brief overview of the negative societal phenomena reflecting the nation’s serious state of apostasy, the second part of the message moves on to examine the root cause of the problems. Had the spiritual leaders sufficiently nurtured righteousness in the nation according to the holy Word, a healthy fear of God, which was once present even in former President Mannerheim, would have remained among the majority in Finland's democracy. Unfortunately, instead of a joyful success story, the matters examined in part two describe, by the Lord's urging, the serious missteps taken by the spiritual leadership that ultimately lead the nation toward destruction.

In the later published second part of the message, Turn Back, Finland! II, a closer examination is made of the impact of a healthy fear of God on the development of a sound conscience in individuals. One doesn’t need to be a psychologist to understand that the development of citizens’ consciences is directly connected to the negative phenomena occurring in society. In the section When Justice Turns to Poison, a true story based on extensive evidence from Finland is reviewed, illustrating the deteriorating state of Finland’s justice system when faced with similar problems that ancient Israel encountered—namely, when a ruthless and conscienceless politically influential couple began to distort justice with their influence. The Lord did not have the story of Jezebel and Ahab written in His holy Word as a warning of the consequences of perverting justice for an entire nation without reason.
