Preface

from the book

Turn back Finland! Nations, Look and Hark! I

“For everyone to whom much is given,

from him much will be required;

and to whom much has been committed,

of him they will ask the more.”

Luke 12:48 (NKJV)

Dear Finns and those who are living among Finns, the Almighty God, to whom the Finns shouted out during their struggle for independence, has sent a serious message to be conveyed to the nation of Finland. The time has come to ask, for the last time, whether the nation of Finland is still ready to cherish its independence. As in previous wars, readiness does not only refer to visible earthly military forces, but also to an understanding of the spiritual laws that affect a nation’s independence, and the will of the people to uphold them.

The message in this book contains a grave call for the nation of Finland to turn back to the Almighty. It should be proclaimed by both the secular and spiritual leadership of Finland as an equally serious call to the citizens, just as former President Kyösti Kallio once did when he urged Finns to kneel in prayer during the struggle for Finnish independence (Hukka & Ristintuki Ry 2017, Miracles during the War Times in Finland).

Both the secular and spiritual leadership of Finland were made aware of this writing as early as 2021, before the message was published in the form of this book for all citizens of the world in 2024. I can only hope and pray that this writing will merely supplement what has already been said, either at the same time or earlier, by the nation's leadership.

When the Finns last fought for their independence, Marshal Mannerheim led the country in cooperation with God's Word and with the spiritual leadership, fully aware of God's Holy Will. With a healthy fear of God, stemming from his knowledge of God’s Word, Mannerheim understood, for example, the impact that the treatment of the Jews would have on the blessings and curses that could come upon his own nation. The presence of a healthy fear of God and reverence in the nation’s decision-making was evident. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, who supported Finland's struggle for independence, heard the prayers of a nation that honoured Him and sent messages through His servants to guide the decision-making of both the secular and spiritual leadership.

Our Almighty God, who revealed His eternal name to Moses as YHWH (which can be pronounced, for example, as Yahweh or Jehovah, depending on interpretative differences regarding the vowels; God does not wish to argue over these differences in pronunciation), used His faithful servant Aarne Ylppö to support the bishop’s decision in responding to Mannerheim concerning the extradition of Jews (Hitsound Oy 2018, Aarne Ylppö – The Savior of Finland?).

Prioritizing God’s instructions as the primary consideration in political decision-making, including those concerning the Jewish question, placed pressure on Finnish leaders to act contrary to the mainstream of European leadership.  The nation of Finland was blessed with an independent country with abundant water resources and a beautiful land. The nation of Finland also got the special form of a dancing maiden - a unique role for Finland and Scandinavia in God's Global Plan of Salvation which I already handled in connection with the Lord's Gospel for Easter (Lavan Leora 2021, The Gospel for Easter 2021, Part 2 – The Trumpet Sounds, the Lord is Calling!).

In the message contained in this book, the special role the Lord has assigned to Finland in His Global Plan of Salvation is clarified. Finland will serve as an example to surrounding nations of how the Lord, in this new era, will ultimately bring justice to each nation. According to the Holy Word, the preservation of a nation’s independence and peace is measured by the fulfillment of justice and righteousness, as well as by the nation's ability to bless Israel and the Jewish people (not only Jews, but also other Israelites, including people from other tribes of ancient Israel and those who have been joined to them through Jesus, as prophesied in Ezekiel 37).

It is no coincidence that Finland has been chosen as an example nation, with its unique shape on the world map, for the screening of nations. Having received much from Him as a nation by relying on His name and crying out to Him for help, Finland should have preserved, from generation to generation, the understanding that as much was given, so too would the nation be required to know and obey the Scriptures of the Holy Word. Of course, God's Holy Will includes the freedom of religion for individuals, and the protection of that freedom must be cherished in society. However, freedom of religion does not mean that society should begin to change and systematically violate the Holy Will revealed in God's Word. Such a path leads the nation toward apostasy, God’s wrath, and shaking, which ultimately threatens its independence.

Those who know the character of the Almighty through the Holy Word understand that when God raises a prophet from the most humble circumstances to convey a message to the nation’s leaders and people, the nation must have been seriously misled for decades. When YHWH sends His messengers to proclaim the last opportunity for repentance, the sin debt of the nation is already threatening its existence in the eyes of God. In fact, in 2021, Finland’s former President, Sauli Niinistö, faced a critical point similar to what Kyösti Kallio encountered during his time. Finland was, and still is, once again in a fight for its independence—though this time, the threat does not come from beyond its borders. Nevertheless, the threat is just as real. If Finland as a nation is no longer willing to heed the voice of God, who granted its independence, and if the final limit of apostasy set by the Lord has been crossed, then God Himself will raise an enemy to cross the nation’s borders, as the Stockholm prophecy warned Finland in the 1980s (Appendix 1).

The same God, whose Holy Word the Finns invoked to gain independence and maintain it through subsequent wars, lays out in His Word the conditions for preserving the independence that was achieved with His help. The foundation for modern nations that proclaim His name is the same as the freedom of choice given to ancient Israel as a nation:

"Stand in the gate of the Lord's house,

and proclaim there this word, and say,

'Hear the word of the Lord, all you of Judah

who enter in at these gates to worship the Lord!' "

Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:

"Amend your ways and your doings,

and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

Do not trust in these lying words, saying,

'The temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord,

the temple of the Lord are these.'

For if you thoroughly amend

 your ways and your doings,

if you thoroughly execute judgment

between a man and his neighbor,

if you do not oppress the stranger,

the fatherless, and the widow,

and do not shed innocent blood in this place,

or walk after other gods to your hurt,

then I will cause you to dwell in this place,

in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.

"Behold, you trust in lying words that cannot profit.

Will you steal, murder, commit adultery,

swear falsely, burn incense to Baal,

and walk after other gods

whom you do not know,

and then come and stand before Me

in this house which is called by My name,

and say, 'We are delivered

 to do all these abominations'?

Has this house, which is called by My name,

become a den of thieves in your eyes?

Behold, I, even I, have seen it,"

says the Lord.

"But go now to My place which was in Shiloh,

where I set My name at the first,

and see what I did to it

because of the wickedness of My people Israel.

And now, because you have done all these works,"

says the Lord," and I spoke to you,

 rising up early and speaking,

but you did not hear,

and I called you, but you did not answer,

therefore I will do to the house

which is called by My name,

in which you trust, and to this place

which I gave to you and your fathers,

as I have done to Shiloh.

And I will cast you out of My sight,

as I have cast out all your brethren

--the whole posterity of Ephraim.”

Jeremiah 7:2-15 (NKJV)

Dear Finns and those living among them, with a heart as heavy as Jeremiah's when he was tasked to proclaim to ancient Ephraim God's call to repentance to avert His wrath, my task is to convey, through the message contained in this book, to Finns and surrounding nations why Finland, which appears so perfect to many on the outside, is soon to face harsh judgment from God.

This message does not assess Finland based on earthly indicators created for use by media and market economies, but describes the state of Finland through the eyes of the Almighty God.

Indeed, it is in the hands of the nation itself, after having gained independence, whether it chooses success or devastation, life or death.

"See, I have set before you today

life and good, death and evil,

in that I command you today

to love the Lord your God,

to walk in His ways,

and to keep His commandments,

His statutes, and His judgments,

that you may live and multiply;

and the Lord your God will bless you

in the land which you go to possess.

But if your heart turns away so

that you do not hear, and are drawn away,

and worship other gods and serve them,

I announce to you today that

you shall surely perish;

you shall not prolong your days in the land

which you cross over the Jordan to go in and possess.

I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you,

that I have set before you life and death,

blessing and cursing; therefore choose life,

that both you and your descendants may live;

that you may love the Lord your God,

that you may obey His voice,

and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life

and the length of your days; and that you may dwell

in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers,

to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."

Deuteronomy 30:15-20 (NKJV)

The message of this book is the Lord's final call to Finland to return to its God from the path of destruction it is currently on. But is anyone listening anymore? Are there still defenders of independence in the nation who have the understanding and will to remove the abominations from before the Lord’s face, so that the nation will not end up wandering like ancient Ephraim, who turned his back on the last chance (Jer. 4:1-2)? Or does the Finnish nation really choose to repeat the path of ancient Ephraim, who had become so stubborn?

“Thus says the Lord: "Stand in the ways and see,

And ask for the old paths, where the good way is,

And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls.

But they said, 'We will not walk in it.'

Also, I set watchmen over you, saying,

'Listen to the sound of the trumpet!'

But they said, 'We will not listen.'

Therefore hear, you nations,

And know, O congregation,

 what is among them.

Hear, O earth! Behold,

I will certainly bring calamity on this people

-- The fruit of their thoughts,

Because they have not heeded My words,

Nor My law, but rejected it.

For what purpose to Me Comes frankincense

from Sheba, and sweet cane from a far country?

Your burnt offerings are not acceptable,

Nor your sacrifices sweet to Me."

Therefore thus says the Lord:

"Behold, I will lay stumbling blocks before this people,

And the fathers and the sons together shall fall on them.

The neighbor and his friend shall perish."

Jeremiah 6:16-21 (NKJV)

“ Give ear, O my people, to my law; Incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old,

Which we have heard and known, And our fathers have told us.

We will not hide them from their children,

Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord,

And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.

For He established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel,

Which He commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children;

That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born,

That they may arise and declare them to their children,

That they may set their hope in God,

And not forget the works of God,

But keep His commandments”
